- ●Non-concessioned beach — dogs tolerated year-round under Portuguese law.
- ●Technically dogs should be leashed in public spaces, but off-leash is widely accepted on this stretch.
- ●Owners must clean up after their dogs — bring your own bags.
- ●Dogs must have a microchip and be registered; carry your DIAC or pet passport.
- ●Potentially dangerous breeds must wear a muzzle and be on a leash no longer than 1 metre.

- 🐾From the Fonte da Telha car park, turn left (south) and walk past the last restaurant — the non-concessioned zone starts there.
- 🐾Arrive before 11:00 on summer weekends for free parking at beach level.
- 🐾The stretch south towards Lagoa de Albufeira is often nearly empty — perfect for off-leash freedom.
- 🐾Bring your own water, shade, and waste bags — no facilities on the dog-friendly section.
- 🐾Cross the 25 de Abril bridge from Lisbon — about 30 minutes by car outside rush hour.
