Beach Rules

●Dogs PROHIBITED June-September under POOC regulations. Fines up to EUR 2,500.
●October to May: dogs welcome on this non-concessioned beach.
●Owners must clean up after their dogs — bring your own bags.
●Dogs must have a microchip and be registered; carry your DIAC or pet passport.
●Potentially dangerous breeds must wear a muzzle and be on a leash no longer than 1 metre.

🐾IMPORTANT: Dogs are PROHIBITED June-September. Visit October to May only.
🐾Take the small fishing boat from Sitio da Fabrica (EUR 1.50, 2-minute crossing) — a fun experience in itself.
🐾The lagoon side has calm, warm, shallow water — perfect for dogs who prefer gentle conditions.
🐾Bring everything you need — there are no facilities on the island.
🐾Off-season Algarve (Oct-May) is ideal for dogs: 15-20°C, empty beaches, beautiful light.
